The above post introduces a more diagrammatic understanding of the flow of input within the proposed hybrid program. The result will be understood as an interdependent cycle of give and take between the city that feed into the infrastructure and the hybrid design that uses up this input and sends it back in form of service, water, or public space.

Working with infrastructure, the program includes a Sewage water treatment plant that moves along the site.
Moreover, the program uses up the treated water to fuel an aquaponic system of fish and vegetable farms thus creating an industry, which would boost the dynamics of the site.
Complimenting the fish farm is a Lebanese fish restaurant catering for tourist to enjoy the taste of fresh products and a fish and vegetable market that would attract different flows from the city, onto the site.

Site Model 1/1000

A 1/1000 Site Model.
Working with fish, engaged the design concept of “Fish Eye representation” which may be useful for later design decisions.
The Model presents a point reflection of
1. The density of traffic on the main highway passing next to my site of choice. (thin dots)
2. The decent of sewage along the topography towards the Eastern part of my site. (thick dots)

The Sotry Begins.

Within an Architectural Vertical Design Studio, and in respect to a group research that dealt with the infrastructural actualities in Lebanon, I present a working Design project that projects a perspective of what is to become a hybrid program of an infrastructure resolution and a touristic magnet for Beirut city within its complex city fabric of merged systems.

the series of mapping and documentation produced by the waste sector group are posted on the following blog:
